Cliff & The Shadows Tribute 2010
As well as performing their tributes to Buddy Holly and Billy Fury, these versatile entertainers are both accomplished Instrumentalists, performing many of the Shadows Instrumentals. Tony A Shadows Guitar Club Member for a number of years is an expert on Shadows Echo Equipment and has spent many hours using his expertise gained from his background in Electronics and computing, to create his own unique echo's, which he has programmed into the G7 1U, Zoom RFX2000 and The Alesis Quadraverp's Plus Q2, GT, Q20 the latter is still used by the great man himself, Hank B Marvin programmed by Charlie Hall of EFTP fame to protect Hank's unique echo's.
Accompanied by his customised Kinman outfitted Stratocaster, VOX AC30 CC2X Amplifier, his dark hair and dark glasses Tony has the Look of Both of his heroes Hank Marvin and Buddy Holly ! while Steve with his blond hair and salmon pink Stratocaster has the look of the legendary Bruce Welch.
In 2010 a one off Tribute to Cliff and the Shadows spectacular is planned, featuring one great hit after another, Move It, The Young Ones, Apron Strings, Nine Times Out Of Ten, Do You Wanna Dance, On the Beach, Dynamite, and the unmistakable sounds of the Shadows, Apache, Atlantis, Kon Tiki, F.B.I, Sleepwalk, Fingle Bunt, Guitar Tango, Peace Pipe, Zambesi, and Wonderful Land. During this set Tony also swaps his guitar for a chronomatic harmonica and plays the lead on Shadows Classics Dakota and Mountains of The Moon This is the music that inspired a generation, brought to you by this fantastic and versatile duo.
